Track Name: The Starry Night
The Starry Night
BY ANNE SEXTON

The town does not exist
except where one black-haired tree slips
up like a drowned woman into the hot sky.
The town is silent. The night boils with eleven stars.
Oh starry starry night! This is how
I want to die.

It moves. They are all alive.
Even the moon bulges in its orange irons
to push children, like a god, from its eye.
The old unseen serpent swallows up the stars.
Oh starry starry night! This is how
I want to die:

into that rushing beast of the night,
sucked up by that great dragon, to split
from my life with no flag,
no belly,
no cry.

Poem written by Anne Sexton. Music composed by Victor Moreno. Mixed by Jorge Navarro. Mastered by Björn Hansell.
Track Name: Upon The Ocean Stripped
Upon The Ocean Stripped
BY VICTOR MORENO

Countless palm trees hunch, the rustle of their leaves
whisper tales of courage of heart and romance.
The endless shore along the marshy desert voids
from a ruthless force striding upon the tidal sands.

Low tide, the ocean is gone,
no fate is carved in stone.
Where once there were tiring ebbs and flows
there's nothing left but the remaining scattered sandbanks and water holes.

Life in its purest play is a raving clash
between love and loss. Time slips away bleeding like a gash.
Abruptly the unspoken truth comes to light
making my mind sway back and forth when I'm doing it right.

Lifespan dries up like seaweed in the sun
upon the ocean stripped

The horizon's bright hue of turquoise dances
with the wailing wind blowing warm
like a sailing boat asking the waves for more chances
to range around, If only one, I bound to follow you down upon the ocean stripped.

Let me follow you down upon the ocean stripped.

Music and poem written by Victor Moreno. Mixed by Jorge Navarro. Mastered by Oliver Ackermann.
Track Name: Lodestar
Lodestar
BY VICTOR MORENO

Driving along this godforsaken highway
the dotted line rolls by and fades away.
Headlights revealing the mystery
of twilight, flashing into my mind a dim vision of destiny.

Together, we'll get away; it’s not far.
You and I, moonlight and a lodestar.

A match lights a cigarette dangling on your lip.
When you roll the window down the warmth of the night gets in, deep
into the skin, like the fragrance of everlasting friendship.
We have promises to keep, wheel rims pulsing like a heartbeat.

Together, we'll get away; it’s not far.
You and I, moonlight and a lodestar.

The night enlarges and slowly burns,
the luster of your eyes returns.
As does our lodestar guiding us to the break of dawn.
There's no town, no heaven, only a trail of things we've done.

We may find ourselves, wherever the highway leads to, into the blue.
Our fearless naked minds and hearts together can do well too.
We enter the new world fleetingly like the North Star rules across the sky.
No cries, no lies, no more whys.

Together, we'll get away; it’s not far.
You and I, moonlight and a lodestar.
